I am official

I got my first rejection letter today; now I am officially a writer.
To celebrate this milestone, I’m off to Wal-Mart to buy a frame.
So this is what living the dream is like. Who knew?

    Welcome to my world :-)

Seriously, the first rejection letter always stings a little bit, but hopefully they didn’t just send a form letter and possibly put some good comments… but if not, just remember that one day you’re going to get a letter that starts with “We are very happy to inform you…”

Heidi here: Thanks so much. It was actually a helpful letter. They liked my work, but have already contracted for a similar project. I’d rather they had given me a nice contract, but I’m okay with it. It’s part of the process, right?

    No rejection here.

Personally, (which really should account for nothing) I don’t think they know what the heck they’re talking about.

Want me to punch ‘em in the head?

I think they are dumb… cuz you’re an awesome writer… i’ve never gotten a letter of any kind.. because i’ve never been brave enough to submit anything to be rejected… i keep talking about it
